The Cure for the Curse won the 2007 Arizona Book Award for Best Young Adult/Juvenile Novel. Here's a link to the official list.Interview: Author interview with lovevampires.com A fun Q&A about my inspirations for The Cure For The Curse. This page is copyright 2008-2011 Patrick Vaughn | Patrick Vaughn writes young adult vampire fiction and has since he was a child. The most intriguing thing to him about vampires is how human these monsters look. He has always been fascinated by the many metaphors vampires contain and as an awkward adolescent could relate to them all. These metaphors have strongly influenced Vaughn’s books. Vaughn’s first novel, “The Cure For The Curse” won the 2007 Arizona Book Award for Best Young Adult/Juvenile Novel. Vaughn has appeared on the Pat McMahon show and has lectured at high schools throughout Arizona. The sequel, “The Allure of The Curse” was released in December 2008. Patrick Vaughn was raised in Sierra Vista, a small town in southeastern Arizona. He graduated from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff with a BA in Electronic Media. He now lives in El Mirage, Arizona with his wife.
