It is the website of the author Patrick Vaughn, who has written two books, "The Cure for the Curse" and its sequel "The Allure of the Curse". They're young adult vampire stories and they're really good. He is currently editing the third book in the Zera's Orphans saga (and renovating this website). March 2011: Currently editing book 3 - I'd say I'm through two drafts. Working title is "The Black Hourglass." And cleaning up this website. Stay tuned for more details! June 2011: Book 3 is ready to be shopped! The title, suggested by my lovely wife Misty, is "The Spiral of the Curse", and I'll get a sample up here soon. I'll keep everyone posted on the publication progress. November 2011: Still shopping the Spiral, but in the meantime I'm editing a short story compilation. It's been a lot of fun and I'm planning on releasing the collection via CreateSpace, which means they will be available in a bound format at a very reasonable price. The Cure for the Curse and The Allure of the Curse follow Warrenna Dennison, a teenager born a vampire but whose condition was hidden from her by her parents. As she discovers just what she is and what she's capable of, she meets Thomas Gelbaugh, a teenager who feels a strange and mysterious connection to Warrenna. They appear to share dreams, and Thomas's mere presence affects Warrenna's curse. As they learn more about themselves, Warrenna and Thomas are introduced to the Orphans, a group of vampires fighting their condition with discipline and the help of the enigmatic Zera, a goddess that can temporarily cleanse the Orphans' polluted blood... for a price.
